Adi Rose Abi Blanc

Beth decided to test her own winemaking capabilities in 2005, when she began making her own wine under the Adi label.  This first vintage of Adi was produced shortly after her grandmother Adams passed, so she named it Adi in honor of her.

Adi is a traditional French style rose. "For years I had enjoyed rose from the south of France. My goal was to make a California rose as close in style to those found in Provence as I could."  My rose is 100% syrah from the Rancho Sarco vineyard on Monticello Road. The vineyard is located in southwest Napa, close to the gravelly river bottom.  Approximately 10 tons of grapes are picked each year. The grapes are hand harvested early in the morning, so when they arrived at the winery they are still very cold. We lightly press the fruit until we have the desired rose color. The juice is then aged for five months in stainless steel.  Adi is dry, clean and crisp! The layers are clearly defined, yet it is approachable and always a delight to drink!
